TERMS & CONDITIONS

MEDICAL

Participants understand and acknowledge that the sport of triathlon is a  physically demanding sport which includes hazards and risks to persons and property that participants have  assessed and are prepared to accept.  Participants acknowledge that neither Crowborough Triathlon Club nor the committee nor any person acting for the Club or the committee shall be liable for any loss, damage or injury to participants or their property howsoever caused as a result of your participation.  Nothing in this clause operates to exclude any liability caused by a negligent act by the Club.

It is the responsibility of participants to ensure they are fit and able to take part in the event.

Participants may have a history of medical problems or will be taking medication. This information is invaluable to the medical support staff in the unlikely event of an emergency.

Participants shall enter medical details, which may assist emergency services & first responders in the diagnosis & treatment of any medical condition, on the reverse of their race number.  Failure to do so may prolong the time taken to administer the appropriate treatment.

MINIMUM AGE

Participants must be aged 17 years or over on 31 December this year.

Closing date for entries

The closing date for entries shall be is Wednesday 8th July, or when the race is full.

Refunds and deferrals

As fellow triathletes we know that injuries happen so we offer a full refund (less bank charges) up to TWO WEEKS before the race. You can also swap to or from the Duathlon event as long as you inform us before the race entries close. Up to 48 hours before the race, you can defer your entry to the following year.  No refunds can be given after the closing date.

Duplicate entries made in genuine error will be refunded in full.

No refund can be given if the race has to be cancelled or postponed due to circumstances outside our control, for instance due to a bomb scare. Your entry fee is invested in the cost of staging the event, and the main costs to contractors, suppliers, administration etc are already committed well before race day.
