Crowborough Tri Club
Christmas Party 2025
As the year nears its end, the event season is over and winter training continues. The club celebrates another wonderful year of achievements and experiences, in and around the tri world.
The Christmas party was once again held again at the Huntsman, Eridge. This pub has made us very welcome over the years. It has a separate room for private functions and they had decorated it beautifully for our party. It is such a great chance to dress up for a relaxed social evening and get to chat to everyone - perhaps to someone who doesn’t swim in your lane on a Monday night! Twenty eight of us came, with a lot of laughter and chat to mull over the year's events, but also to recognise and celebrate the award winners.
The Jane Bolton cup for the club member who has contributed so much to the club over the year and achieved personal bests in competitions went to Josh. He competed in the Mallorca 70.3 in May, and Ironman Leeds in July .

The Sporting Achievement award went to Sarah Smith. She entered and took part in the gruelling Alpe d'Huez triathlon. An outstanding achievement on a hot day, particularly with a last minute decision for a non-wetsuit swim - always a challenge at an event.

Congratulations to both of you, hugely well deserved.
In summary, we have had such a great year with lots of people doing all sorts of different things, all of which (I hope) have been written up. Let's all enjoy a break over the festive period and we will see you all back again next year.
That’s all from me for this year!
Happy Christmas.
